| ›The Past in the Present‹
Reflection on the past in moving images: During The Past in the Present, a day of lectures held annually, this time the following question will be central: How do image makers define the specific qualities of film and video when reflecting on historic subjects? Do film and video have the same problematic relation with reality as photography does? And, what cinematic instruments and styles are employed to express the reliving of the past? Speakers are the documentary maker Peter Delpeut (NL, b. 1956) and visual artist David Claerbout (Bel., b. 1968). program starts at noon (till 4 p.m.), auditorium TENT. Witte de Withstraat 50, with afterwards a drink at the fotomuseum.
